BECOME A VOLUNTEER MEDIATOR
Community Mediation Services needs Volunteers - Mediation helps people find their own best solutions to difficult issues. Teen and Parent mediator trainees learn valuable skills while helping teens and their parents resolve conflicts about appearance, peer relationships, household rules, and school issues. Free Basic training is July 10-11, 2010, and covers communication and conflict resolution skills with Teen & Parent specific mediation training July 24-25th. Skills needed: a desire to help families in our community, the ability to listen and a nonjudgmental attitude Basic Training July 10-11th involves communication and conflict resolution skills needed for all 3 programs Then choose program specific training:

| Community Mediation Services is a non-profit organization administering three major programs, the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP), the Teen & Parent Mediation Program (TPM), and the Visitation Mediation Program (VPM). These programs provide a way of helping people settle their differences peacefully.
